The ∂-equation on an Annulus with Mixed Boundary Conditions
In this paper we study the ∂-equation with mixed boundary conditions on an annulus Ω = Ω1 \ Ω2 ⊂⊂ C n between two pseudoconvex domains satisfying Ω2 ⊂⊂ Ω1. We prove L-existence theorems for ∂mix for any ∂mix-closed (p, q)-form with 2 ≤ q ≤ n. For the critical case when q = 1 on the annulus Ω, we show that the space of harmonic forms is infinite dimensional and H (p,1) ∂mix,L 2 (Ω) is isomorphic...
متن کاملGlobal Attractor of the Weakly Damped Wave Equation with Nonlinear Boundary Conditions
In this paper, the main purpose is to study existence of the global attractors for the weakly damped wave equation with nonlinear boundary conditions. To this end, we first show that the existence of a bounded absorbing set by the perturbed energy method. Secondly, we utilize the decomposition of the solution operator to verify the asymptotic compactness.
متن کاملA structurally damped plate equation with Dirichlet-Neumann boundary conditions
We investigate sectoriality and maximal regularity in L-LSobolev spaces for the structurally damped plate equation with DirichletNeumann (clamped) boundary conditions. We obtain unique solutions with optimal regularity for the inhomogeneous problem in the whole space, in the half-space, and in bounded domains of class C. It turns out that the first-order system related to the scalar equation on...
متن کاملMixed Spectral and Pseudospectral Methods for a Nonlinear Strongly Damped Wave Equation in an Exterior Domain
The aim of this paper is to develop the mixed spectral and pseudospectral methods for nonlinear problems outside a disc, using Fourier and generalized Laguerre functions. As an example, we consider a nonlinear strongly damped wave equation. The mixed spectral and pseudospectral schemes are proposed. The convergence is proved. Numerical results demonstrate the efficiency of this approach. AMS su...
متن کاملConvolution quadrature for the wave equation with impedance boundary conditions
We consider the numerical solution of the wave equation with impedance boundary conditions and start from a boundary integral formulation for its discretization. We develop the generalized convolution quadrature (gCQ) to solve the arising acoustic retarded potential integral equation for this impedance problem. For the special case of scattering from a spherical object, we derive representation...
